European Review of Regional Logistics – Issue 2023/01

The Issue 2023/01 has been published. The title “Resilience technology for sustainable logistics” is not a case. Climate changes are generating several problems to the logistics sector, and it makes more difficult the achievement of green targets. On the one side the warehouses and on the other side the transport network are facing problems related to the floods, wind, fire and at the same time they have to be greener and technologically equipped. Moreover, the Ukraine crisis is increasing operational costs putting the transport sector in difficulties.

Turku University: Emission data to support logistics decision-making

Reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions is a timely concern for companies across the globe. Turku School of Economics collaborates with Wiima Logistics Oy to study and develop emission calculation practices now and in the future. Turku School of Economics as well as Open ENLoCC member Centre for Maritime Studies are part of Turku University in Turku (Finland).

During the last couple of years, the world has witnessed incidents of disruptions that affected many aspects of everyday life and economy. Freight transportation, being a major pillar and an extrovert sector of the dominant globalized world economy, could not escape the direct and indirect impacts caused by several of these disruptions. POLO INOLTRA: New member of Open ENLoCC

CONS. INOLTRA A R.L. – POLO INOLTRA is a cluster for innovation in logistics and transport system in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, located around the Adriatic town of Pescara.

The pole is a consortium with over 60 members, which add up to over 3,700 employees and around 300 million in turnover. They found the opportunity to collaborate in a very important sector because it provides essential services to all economic sectors, and which expresses an intrinsic need for integration.
