On 23th-24th October, Open ENLoCC participated at the ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit 2025 organised at the Tangla Hotel in Brussels by ALICE – Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe.

The 2025 edition has taken place under the theme: “Freight transport and logistics innovation for a competitive Europe”. The event gathered major stakeholders driving innovation in the logistics industry in Europe and beyond, contributing to exchange of knowledge and best practices through several thematic sessions scheduled throughout the two-day event and make the opportunity for our team to engage in enriching talks with other realities in the industry.

A significant opportunity for the Open ENLoCC network to get valuable insights from the logistics community and bring its valuable experience and perspective related to the regional collaborative logistics.

Open enlocc and list present transcend

Open ENLoCC, together with its member Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) showcased among other exhibitors the TRANSCEND Project, which contributes to enhance the resilience of European critical infrastructure.

The TRANSCEND project (Transport Resilience against Cyber and Non-Cyber Events to prevent Network Disruption) – funded by the Horizon Europe programme – aims to equip freight transport operators with an integrated set of tools, guidelines and technological solutions to enhance protection, reduce risk and improve resilience to various threats, both physical and cyber.

Along with other synergic projects, TRANSCEND presented to the audience the ongoing work been done within the project, creating new potential connections with other projects and organisation working in the industry.

A GATEWAY FOR CONNECTIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

Besides promoting the TRANSCEND project, the summit also represented a valuable opportunity for Open ENLoCC to meet stakeholders, discover new initiatives, and exchange views with other networks and projects developing complementary activities across Europe.

During the event, our team had the chance to present the Open ENLoCC network to several organisations and learn more about the latest developments shaping the logistics and innovation landscape.

We believe that ALICE and Open ENLoCC are two networks that naturally complement each other: while ALICE drives forward innovation and the Physical Internet vision at the European level, Open ENLoCC brings a regional perspective and supports the take-up of innovations within urban, peri-urban, regional, and interregional areas.

Together, they can contribute to bridging the gap between research, innovation, and real-world implementation on the ground.

Further updates on upcoming joint initiatives will follow soon.
