Moreover, ever-growing concerns about environmental sustainability are also pushing the quest for cost-efficient and less impacting solutions. On these bases, it could seem that there should be no room for further major gains in efficiency, except for those directly resulting from big investments in infrastructure realisation and advanced technological innovation.
