The OPEN ENLoCC Network is glad to announce that University Iuav of Venice/Bestever Supply Chain joined our family!
The University Iuav of Venice is a leading European institution with a strong tradition in architecture, design, and urban planning. Established in 1926, it combines a rich history with a forward-looking, multidisciplinary approach to design strategies. Iuav has extensive experience in complex fields, including urban design, technology, and regional planning, with a specific focus on sustainability and climate adaptation. The university’s commitment to these issues is highlighted by its recognition as an Observer by UNFCCC and UNEP, and its membership in AESOP, SDSN, and the European Climate Pact. This expertise is particularly strong within the Department of Architecture and Arts, which covers a wide range of knowledge areas from urban policies and transport planning to logistics and supply chain management.
The participation to OPEN ENLoCC will particularly target the field of transport, logistics and mobility, for which a dedicated recognized spin-off at Iuav is in place (Bestever Supply Chain). In this field, Iuav/BSC aims at creating value for organizations, society, and the environment by designing and implementing complex projects with a specific focus on digitalization and innovation. IUAV/BSC combines managerial, technological, and academic expertise gained across international, industrial, and scientific sectors. Our experience spans from strategic direction to technical design, and from university research to the management of complex logistical processes. The founders of IUAV/BSC bring together more than two decades of field experience, backed by a track record of significant, measurable success. Their background spans senior leadership roles, ranging from shippers in industrial companies to executive positions at logistics operators, as well as leadership roles at academic innovation hubs. This expertise converges at IUAV/BSC to create a unique synergy, driven by a constant focus on the latest industry innovations. This unique synergy allows us to approach every project with rigor, analytical depth, and the ability to generate tangible solutions and effective policies. Furthermore, thanks to an extensive network of both public entities (regions, municipalities, etc.) and private stakeholders (transport and logistics operators), IUAV/BSC is uniquely positioned to implement tangible territorial policies in the public sector and effective pilot projects within the private sector.
