Urban freight transport data remains a “black box” for public authorities, despite its increasing impact on emissions and sustainability. As there is no standardised access to data and data collection is often hindered by the complex network of private and public stakeholders, alternative public data sources are proposed to establish a baseline understanding of urban freight and logistics.
